Fans have had as much of a love/hate relationship with this song as the band themselves. Without ‘5,6,7,8’ there’d be no Steps but at the same time it didn’t launch the band in the way they’d hoped reaching number 14 on the charts. As the years have gone by, the Country/pop track has become somewhat of a fan favourite and it’s the only time that Lee has sung lead vocals on a Steps single.
