24. Chain Reaction (2001)
Steps often hit chart gold with their cover versions – see ‘Tragedy’, ‘Better The Devil You Know’ and ‘Last Thing On My Mind’ – but ‘Chain Reaction didn’t add a whole lot to the original Diana Ross version. Don’t get me wrong, if it came on at a party I’d be up on the dancefloor but probably one of their weaker covers.
