On the latest episode of The Walking Dead, Alexandria found itself under attack from endless walkers.
If you’re not up to date with The Walking Dead and like to avoid spoilers we suggest you don’t read any further.
The episode focused on the Alexandrians as they battled constant waves of the undead. After more than two days straight of fighting, everyone was exhausted but they kept coming. The survivors wondered if Alpha was behind the attacks but Lydia (Cassaday McClincy) said she wasn’t.
After a council meeting, Michonne (Danai Gurira), led Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol and some of the others to the border to see what Alpha had to say. Alpha turned up and demanded punishment for straying into her lands. The community got off lightly by surrendering land. Carol had other ideas and tried to shoot Alpha but was stopped by Daryl and Michonne.
Throughout the episode, Carol kept taking some pills that she’d found to help her stay awake. She began having hallucinations but wasn’t entirely sure what was real and what was fake. She thought she kept seeing Whisperers and everyone became concerned about her.
Elsewhere in the episode, Aaron (Ross Marquand) led a group south the reduce the approaching walkers. Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) sent Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) along with them to help, despite the protests from Aaron. Negan is still a capable fighter and despite arguing with Aaron, he looked after him when he became temporarily blinded by hogweed.
At the end of the episode, it was revealed that a Whisperer that had taunted Carol was still alive so maybe she wasn’t hallucinating as bad as people thought.
