Pensioners were dying in mysterious circumstances on the latest episode of Wild Bill or were they?

If you want to avoid spoilers for Wild Bill, stop reading this article now.

A series of robberies suggested that a criminal was targeting the pensioners in Boston and a DNA match led Bill (Rob Lowe) and the team to librarian Alma (Emma D’Arcy), whose father they believed was responsible. As he’d been absent for many years, Alma wasn’t able to help them locate him.

As Bill struggled to move the case forward, peppy reporter Lisa (Angela Griffin) gave him plenty of bad press and to make matters worse a leaked list of potential redundancies circulated the office.

Muriel (Bronwyn James) discovered that one of the local paramedics, Henry (Barry Aird), may have been Alma’s father but it turned out he was just an accomplice from back in the day when they committed crimes.

Eventually it was revealed that Alma was behind the break-ins but she was only robbing the homes of pensioners who were already dead, tipped off by Henry. Bill caught her and she told him that she was dying and needed a transplant from her father, who was the only match due to a rare blood type, to survive.

Bill tracked Alma’s father down to a Jesuit community and convinced him to help his daughter.
