This month sees Kylie Minogue take to the stage in the Glastonbury Legends slot and also the release of her latest hits package Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection. To celebrate we will be picking our A to Z of Kylie singles each day this month as well as asking you to vote for your favourite Kylie album – here.
And so we reach Q.
Q is for..well there actually aren’t any Kylie singles beginning with Q so we’re taking some creative license (and an excuse to pick another favourite that we couldn’t pick earlier in the countdown), therefore Q is for a Question – Stick or Twist? Of course, it’s Confide In Me.
Single facts
- The video asks even more questions in various languages; Lost? Müde? Solo? Like us, you’ll probably need to google translate but the general theme is lost, tired, alone; will you confide?
- On a bonus track on the Canadian release of her eponymous album, Kylie sings the majority of the song in French. It’s subtitled Fie Toi A Moi which translates as trust me
- This stunning single would’ve been our choice for C if it wasn’t for this song. It was truly a statement on release in 1994-that Kylie was now a serious artiste
- It narrowly missed Number 1 in the UK, almost ending the reign of Wet Wet Wet’s Love Is All Around. It did however, give Kylie her first Australian Number 1 since Got To Be Certain in 1988
Tomorrow we reach R and Kylie fans will know there’s only two choices here but which track would you choose? Tell us @entfocusmusic
