E3 2019: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay revealed

EA promised that they would be showing off some footage of the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at this year’s E3 and they haven’t disappointed. They have released a short video (around 13 mins) of gameplay from about 3 hours into the game.

The video is presented by Respawn founder Vince Zampella and game director Stig Asmussen. It shows footage set on the Wookie homeworld of Kashyyyk.

Respawn said “players will use their Jedi training to create different melee combinations with an innovative lightsaber combat system and Force abilities. Players will also use traversal and other platforming abilities to strategically overcome opponents and solve puzzles in their path across this galaxy-spanning adventure.”

The demo highlights some of the Jedi’s more acrobatic abilities including double jumps as well as wall running. It also shows off some of the Force abilities you’ll be able to use. As expected the stormtroopers are there to simply serve as fodder and are taken out really quickly but we do get to see some slightly tougher lightsaber wielding enemies.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is due to be released on 15th November 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
