Ripley (Brett Tucker) and Sullivan’s (Boris Kodjoe) history was revealed a little on the latest episode of Station 19.

The two used to be partners and it was Ripley who made a tough call when Sullivan’s wife was fatally injured. With Sullivan unable to think clearly, he’d always blamed himself for his wife’s death as he felt he could have done more to save her.

This came out during a class where the Station 19 team were supposed to be learning CPR and first responder duties. Sullivan lost his temper because he felt they weren’t taking things seriously and expressed his disappointment with Maya (Danielle Savre) after telling everyone she’d applied for lieutenant.

Meanwhile Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Ben (Jason George) tried to work through their marital problems and she asked him for a separation while she got her head back together. Bailey explained that Ben’s job brought her anxiety and stress and she needed time away from him.

Elsewhere Dean (Okieriete Onaodowan) and Jack (Grey Damon) learned to live together and understand one another boundaries, and Vic (Barrett Doss) slept with Ripley after the two spent the day flirting with one another.

The next episode of the season is Last Day on Earth. Just when Ryan agrees to talk to it out with his dad, he makes an unexpected visit. Meanwhile, in an effort to connect with his crew, Sullivan looks to an unlikely source for some bonding tips.
