C2C: Country to Country kicks off its seventh year today in London, Dublin and Glasgow. Some of the best US Country artists will be performing over the next three days for thousands of fans and there’ll be some homegrown acts getting in on the action too. Getting bigger year after year, C2C is the biggest celebration of Country music we have on this side of the pond and with Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Chris Stapleton headlining this year, it’s looking set to be the best year yet.

To tie in with the festival, Humphead have released C2C: Country to Country Vol 4, a two-disc set featuring 40 tracks from artists that have played the festival or will be doing this weekend. An incredibly varied collection, C2C: Country to Country Vol 4 really captures the C2C ethos by mixing US and UK artists, as well as the occasional Canadian for good measure. Disc 1 kicks off with Brett Eldredge’s current smash Love Someone, which is quickly followed up by Cam’s instant classic Diane. It’s a strong start to a release that never dips in quality.

Some of the highlights across Disc 1 include Ashley McBryde’s emotive Girl Goin’ Nowhere, The Wandering Heart’s rousing Devil, Old Dominion’s Make it Sweet and Jillian Jacqueline’s Tragic. There are also songs from Abby Anderson (Make Him Wait), Jimmie Allen (Best Shot), Dustin Lynch (Good Girl), Caroline Jones (Bare Feet) and Michael Ray (One That Got Away), all of whom will be making their C2C debut this weekend.

Lady Antebellum, one of this year’s headliners, open Disc 2 with their uptempo track You Look Good. From then on it’s hit-after-hit with tracks from Kelsea Ballerini (Miss You More), Kacey Musgraves (Space Cowboy), Russell Dickerson (Blue Tacoma), Little Big Town (Summer Fever) and more. Rising star Lainey Wilson, who will be performing this weekend, contributes her excellent Waste of Good Whiskey while breakout trio Fairground Saints deliver the fantastic Somewhere Down the Line.

The collection rounds out with Travis Denning’s Red, White and Blue followed by RaeLynn’s Tailgate. Both performers are high on the priority list when it comes to figuring out which artists to check out over the next three days.

C2C: Country to Country Vol 4 is the perfect accompaniment to this year’s festival. It’s a timely reminder of the rich variety that both the Country music genre and C2C have to offer. There are songs here for every kind of Country fan from modern to traditional and everything in between. I can imagine this release will get a lot of repeat plays next week once C2C is done for another year!
