We’ve been busy working our way through new cyberpunk RTS Re-Legion from 1C and thought we’d give you a little taste of what to expect from this rather interesting game. In Re-Legion you play the role of Elion. He is a leader of a small cult who intends to rid the world of all non-believers whilst delivering the world from evil and misery. As Elion’s power grows he is able to convert non-believers to his cause who then effectively act as your units in the game. As the cult expands it gains crypto credits which can be used to enable upgrades. Your cultists will also generate faith as you progress, allowing your followers to gain and use special abilities. Your devoted cultists can also use hacking skills to expand your control and take over digital billboards to spread your word.

The mechanics of the game are very novel, especially in the way that you recruit units by converting them to your cult. The game introduces you gradually to new units as you progress unlocking hackers, ranged troops and preachers to name just a few. It’s pretty tricky to keep track of all your units and what they are up to so I hope you’re good at the micro-managing side of RTS games. I lost count of how many times I lost track of my prophet even with hotkeys assigned to him! Re-Legion is shaping up really nicely so far and the cyberpunk visuals give it a really atmospheric feel
Anyway that’s enough from me for now, I’ve got more people to convert as I can hear the Cult of Blood knocking on my door and they are most definitely not here to borrow a cup of sugar.
