The Greatest Dancer begins tonight on BBC One and we’re pretty excited!

Hosted by Jordan Banjo and Alesha Dixon, the series is a dance talent show which sees dancers of any age and dance style compete to win £50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.

The show’s Dance Captains are Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabuse, Glee and Broadway star Matthew Morrison and singer Cheryl. Before the first episode airs tonight, a selection of first-look images have been released, which you can see below…

The Greatest Dancer will begin with the auditions tonight, which takes place in a Dance Studio unlike any other. Dancers will perform in front of a mirror with the audience seated at the other side.

It’ll be up to the audience to vote if they like the performance. If the dancer picks up 75% or more of the vote, the mirror will open and they will go through to the next stage of the competition where they’ll be mentored by one of the Dance Captains.

If they fail to get 75%, their time in the competition will come to an end and they’ll dance alone.

Ahead of the series launch, a video has been released featuring Oti, Matthew and Cheryl busting some moves. Take a look…

Along with a short preview so you can see what to expect…

The Greatest Dancer kicks off at 8pm tonight on BBC One.
