Games with Gold for December featured another decent choice of free games for Xbox Live Gold members. Our pick of the bunch in December was Q.U.B.E. 2.
The first Games with Gold for 2019 will be available from January 1st and we’re pleased to report it’s a great start to the year. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download a copy of Celeste all month. Then, from January 16th – February 15th WRC 6 FIA World Rally Championship will also be available.
On Xbox 360 (and Xbox One via Backward Compatibility) players can download a copy of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light from January 1st until January 15th. This will then be switched to Far Cry 2 for the remainder of the month.

You can still add all the games to your Xbox Live account even if you don’t own both an Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Also, remember that even if you own a physical copy of the games on offer it’s still worth grabbing the free digital copy as you will then no longer need the disc to play. You could then pass your physical copy on to a friend or trade it in.
