Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) enlisted the help of Barry (Grant Gustin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to find her father Thomas (Kyle Secor) on the latest episode of The Flash.
They found him and brought him back to S.T.A.R. Labs but Cisco was suspicious and became protective over Caitlin. Thomas revealed that he had attempted to cure his ALS and treat the same gene in Caitlin but his experiments resulted in them both gaining ice powers.
Caitlin worked on a cure to save her father and Cisco travelled to Thomas’ lab where he discovered that Thomas is an alternate personality wearing skin grafts to pose as him. Refusing to believe it, Caitlin was initially angry but realised that the serum she was working on could kill her father’s human side.
When she confronted Thomas, he transformed into Icicle and gave everyone apart from Caitlin hypothermia. Team Flash confronted Icicle and Caitlin’s Killer Frost side returned.
Icicle escaped with the serum and the real Thomas manifested briefly.
Elsewhere the team learned the name of Cicada’s (Chris Klein) daughter and Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) teamed up with Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) on a case.
The next episode of the season is O Come, All Ye Thankful. Nora struggles with unresolved anger over her father’s disappearance in the future. Barry and the team have to stop a powerful new meta, Weather Witch, from killing her own father.
