Audiences will be taken on a magic carpet ride this Christmas as Lawrence Batley Theatre stages its family pantomime, Aladdin.

A spectacular show for all ages to enjoy, this show brings together all the traditional
elements of its much-loved pantos – live music, glittering sets, side-splitting comedy, extravagant costumes and giggles galore.

Penniless Aladdin dreams of a life of luxury and when he discovers an old magic lamp all his dreams could come true. But can his Genie friends help him recover it from the evil Abanazar? Can he save the Princess and win her love?

Director Joyce Branagh says: “We can’t wait to get started on Aladdin. We’ve been planning our panto all year: making decisions about the gorgeous set, sorting the glitzy costumes, making Andrew’s brilliant script as slick and funny as it can be; meeting about the music and choreography; getting an excellent cast in place, and the pyrotechnics are ordered!”

Aladdin is at Lawrence Batley Theatre from Friday 7 December 2018 to Sunday 6 January 2019. Tickets cost from £18.50 to £12.50. Book online at thelbt.org or call the Box Office on 01484 430 528.
