This year’s Golden Joystick awards are finished once again. This year God of War was the big winner scooping up four awards: PS4 Game of the Year, Best Visual Design, Best Audio and Best Storytelling. Its creators Sony Santa Monica also walked away with the Studio of the Year award.
Fortnite, Overwatch and Forza Horizon 4 also took home awards and not surprisingly Red Dead Redemption 2 also got in on the action, winning the Critics Choice award. What makes the Golden Joystick Awards refreshing is the fact that most of the categories are voted for by the general public with millions of votes being cast each year. - Mobile Game of the Year – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile
- PC Game of the Year – Subnautica
- PlayStation Game of the Year – God of War
- Xbox Game of the Year – Forza Horizon 4
- Nintendo Game of the Year – Octopath Traveler
- Breakthrough Award – Unknown Worlds
- Most Wanted Game – Cyberpunk 2077
- Critics Choice Award – Red Dead Redemption 2
