The Great Escape is coming to East London

The Great Escape will treat fans to shows in London next month. The event will spread across 6 venues over 3 days in East London. Taking place from 27th to 29th November 2018 showcasing some of the world’s finest emerging acts.

The Great Escape festival will take place across 35 walk-able venues from 9th to 11th May 2019 in Brighton, England.

On 27th November:

London In Stereo will take over The Curtain LP Room music will come from 19-year-old soul singer Jvck James, singer-songwriter Kara Marni and London alt-pop duo Wooze.

At Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen, Live Nation Source will host with Peckham’s masked drill artist Kwengface, Belgian hip-hop project Blackwave complete with a live jazz band, and singer and multi-instrumentalist Ren.

Dork will host a residency at The Old Blue Last, kicking off night one with former Fish Tank frontman Ed The Dog, Cardiff-based indie band Himalayas and Stockport five-piece Fuzzy Sun.

CLASH will be at The Courtyard Theatre with indie-goodness Kawala, Australian pop artist Jeffe and Millie Turner.

So Young will be at The Macbeth with Brighton locals Squid, hazy grunge girl band Krush Puppies and Emerson Snowe.

Zigrid Von Underbelly will be home to Amazing Radio’s pop sounds with Casey Lowry, Emily Burns and Askjell.

On 28th November:

Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen joins forces with Metropolis to deliver an eclectic mix of new music from Mathilda Homer, Rebecca Garton and Bobbie Johnson.

The Old Blue Last is set to showcase music from Iceland, Briet, JC Stewart and Shey Baba.

BBC Music Introducing will showcase Indoor Pets at The Courtyard Theatre, as well as indie starlet Zuzu and Glaswegian indie-pop band Lucia.

The Macbeth put on an eclectic night of music with R&B powerhouse Duendita, experimental pop duo Jockstrap and new wave Glasgow quintet Walt Disco.

On 29th November:

Ticketmaster New Music takes over the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen will showcase music from Steam Down, Radiant Children and Tiana Major 9.

UPSET has curated an epic final night at The Old Blue Last, with SKYND, Sick Joy and Penelope Isles.

The Courtyard Theatre will be taken over by NOTION with singer-songwriter Connie Constance, Slow Club’s Rebecca Taylor’s solo project Self Esteem and sonic snapshotter L Devine.

The Macbeth plays host to DIY’s hot tips for 2019 with Fontaines DC, post-punk influenced The Howl and The Hum and duo Chappaqua Wrestling.

Over at Zigfrid Von Underbelly pop busker Sam Tompkins will be taking the stage, followed by soulful R&B singer Nia Wyn and choral hymn singer Dayo Bello.
