Janet Jackson has released her new single Made For Now along with the upbeat music video for the track.
A collaboration with Daddy Yankee, Made For Now is Janet’s first single release since Unbreakable’s Dammn Baby in 2016. Produced by Harmony Samuels, Made For Now is a pop-reggaeton fusion celebrating living in the moment.
The music video for the track was filmed in New York in July and directed by Dave Meyers. Janet is seen singing the track while people throughout the streets of the city dance and celebrate.
The video builds to a climax that includes another iconic Janet dance routine, showing she’s lost none of the magic that’s helped her have such a long and successful career.
Made For Now is the first single from Janet’s upcoming 12th studio album. There are no details on the release of that record yet but we’re hoping it’ll be this side of Christmas.
Janet premiered the video for Made For Now on TRL in the US over night and tonight she’ll be performing the track for the first time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Since September 2017, Janet has been on the road performing her State of the World tour. She’s currently on the last leg with the tour coming to an end in October.
