Former Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts is the ninth celebrity confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2018.
The news was revealed this morning on BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans Breakfast Show.
Ashley said, “I am beyond excited and grateful to be part of the Strictly family! I’m going to put my heart and soul into this new adventure and can’t wait to have fun with the team! Bring on the sequins, glitz and glamour!”
Best-known as a former member of the pop group Pussycat Dolls, Roberts has sold over 54 million records and picked up numerous awards. She left the group in 2010 and moved into television presenting for shows such as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Dancing On Ice and Let It Shine.
She’s also had starring roles in Keith Lemon’s comedy series Coming In America and The Sketch Show, and appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and The Jump.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturdays and Sundays this autumn. Dooley will join the previous announced celebs Katie Piper, Faye Tozer, Danny John-Jules, Joe Sugg, Vick Hope, Graeme Swann, Dr. Ranj Singh and Stacey Dooley.
