Games with Gold for July featured a pretty decent selection of free games for Xbox Live Gold members. Our pick of the bunch was Splinter Cell Conviction.
On Xbox One in August, Xbox Live Gold members are in for a real treat with one of the best months ever. Players can download Forza Horizon 2 Standard – 10th Anniversary Edition all month. Then, from August 16th – September 15th, For Honor Standard Edition will also be available.
On Xbox 360 (and Xbox One via Backward Compatibility) players can download a copy of Dead Space 3 from August 1st until August 15th. This will then be switched to Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for the remainder of the month.

You can still add all the games to your Xbox Live account even if you don’t own both an Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Also, remember that even if you own a physical copy of the games on offer it’s still worth grabbing the free digital copy as you will then no longer need the disc to play. You could then pass your physical copy on to a friend or trade it in.
