The first official trailer has arrived for Sky 1’s forthcoming series A Discovery of Witches.
Based on the best-selling trilogy by Deborah Harkness, A Discovery of Witches stars Matthew Goode (Downton Abbey) and Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge).

The drama follows brilliant historian Diana Bishop, (Palmer) as a witch denying her own heritage who uncovers an ancient, bewitched manuscript in the Bodelain library. This discovery throws her back into the mystical and supernatural world and into the path of the enigmatic vampire Matthew Clairmont (Goode).
What follows is a dangerous hunt for the precious, mystical document which draws her and Matthew closer together into a forbidden romance which threatens to violate age-old taboos and shake the fragile peace that exists between the species.
The cast also features Louise Brealey (Sherlock), Alex Kingston (Doctor Who), Owen Teale (Game of Thrones) and (Greg McHugh).

A Discovery of Witches has been adapted by Kate Brooke (Mr Selfridge) and is produced by Bad Wolf productions, headed up by Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter.
Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode, Alex Kingston and Owen Teale, Deborah Harkness and Jane Tranter will appear at San Diego Comic-Con International 2018, taking place from 19th – 22nd July.
