Megan Boone (The Blacklist) and Derek Cecil (House of Cards) star in dark drama Family Games, which is getting a digital release on 11th June 2018.
Also starring Larry Bryggman (As the World Turns) and Alison Fraser (Happy!), the film is directed by Suzuya Bobo, who wrote the screenplay with James Kaelan. Family Games tells the story of a woman plans to stop her father marrying another woman but things don’t go the way she hopes.
The synopsis for Family Games is:
Sloane (Boone) returns to her childhood home in a secluded part of Texas, intending to break up the wedding of her widowed father, Roan (Bryggman), to their family friend, Kathryn (Fraser), by any means necessary. Bringing along her boyfriend for support, Sloane plots to deliberately unnerve the bride and groom, avenging her betrayed mother. But as the festivities approach, their scheme for revenge is threatened by the awe-inspiring Roan and evasive Kathryn, getting under Sloane’s increasingly thin skin. Once dessert is served and the drinking is in full force, however, secrets begin to bubble to the surface and Sloane regains her appetite for destruction.
Boone can currently be seen in The Blacklist, which completed its fifth season in the UK last night. The long-running crime drama, also starring James Spader, will return for a sixth season later in the year.
Her role in Family Games marks her first film role since she joined the NBC series and it’s a chance for fans to see her doing something very different.
Family Games will be released on Digital Download from 11th June 2018 on iTunes, Amazon, Rakuten TV, Play, Microsoft, Sky Store, TalkTalk, Vubiquity and BT.
