Three surgeries running concurrently caused a disaster on the latest episode of The Resident.
Dr. Bell insisted on all three surgeries taking place at once and dragged Mina (Shaunette Renée Wilson) into the middle of it. Nic (Emily VanCamp) convinced Jude (Warren Christie) to take on one surgery while Bell focused on removing a foreign object from a man’s rectum and Mina removed and replaced a man’s testicle after he suffered from extreme pain.

As the pressure piled on, all of the surgeries had their challenges, but Mina made a mistake and removed the patient’s healthy testicle instead of the damaged one. That mistake brought a committee meeting together to press the doctors on what had happened and left the hospital open to being sued.
Meanwhile Nic continued to express her concerns over Dr. Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes) when Lily (Violett Beane) continued to deteriorate. Hunter retaliated by telling Nic she knows what she’s been up to and threatening to end her career.
Elsewhere Conrad’s (Matt Czuchry) father unexpectedly turned up at the hospital, after courting Hunter to invest in her clinic.
The next episode of the season is No Matter the Cost. Conrad wages battle on behalf of his patient while also dealing with his father, who has turned up at the hospital with no warning.
