Cuts at the hospital led to a complete mess in the Emergency Room on the latest episode of The Resident.
Conrad (Matt Czuchry) accidentally informed the wrong people that their son had died when the E.R. nurse didn’t give out identity wristbands to patients checking in. Her mistake led to the death of a man and Conrad had to try and find out who he was so he could tell the victim’s family.
Meanwhile Nic (Emily VanCamp) kept hitting a brick wall with Dr. Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes) when she tried to get access to the file for Lily (Violett Beane) who was readmitted to the hospital and having a bad reaction to one of her medications.

Hunter kept saying the file was being faxed but when it didn’t arrive Nic went to her clinic to pick it up herself. While there she bumped into an old friend and did a bit of spying when she noticed the unusually high doses of chemotherapy being administered to Hunter’s patients.
Elsewhere Mina (Shaunette Renée Wilson) was benched for being too gung-ho and Dr. Bell (Bruce Greenwood) operated on an elderly woman with cancer and almost killed her due to his tremor issue.
The next episode of the season is None the Wiser. The medics are under pressure as three surgeries at the same time push hospital resources to the limit.
