Roo Panes will release his third album Quiet Man on 15th June via CRC Records.

The news comes as the singer-songwriter releases his latest single My Sweet Refuge, the follow-up to the brooding A Message to Myself. Described as ‘gorgeously uplifting and stirringly romantic’, the track is available to stream and download now, and fans who pre-order Quiet Man will get it instantly.

Drawing comparisons to Ben Howard, Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, Panes differs from those artists by building his music on positivity as opposed to melancholy. His songs are a celebration of life, love and hope.

Panes describes his new album Quiet Man as having “a general theme of encouragement” but each of the songs is deeply personal. Quiet Man was written by Panes and recorded in Deep Litter Studios at Start Point, Devon and produced by Chris Bond, mixed by Boe Weaver and mastered by Tim Debney at Fluid Mastering.

The album will be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats.

The track listing for Quiet Man is:

1. A Message To Myself
2. My Sweet Refuge
3. Sketches of Summer
4. Ophelia
5. A Year In A Garden
6. My Narrow Road
7. A Gift To You
8. Cub
9. Quiet Man
10. Warrior
11. Peace Be With You

Fans can see Panes at the following dates over the summer:

21st May – Colston Hall, Bristol (Headline)
21st June – Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London (Headline)
21st July – Lamer Tree Festival

Panes hails from Wimborne Dorset. Over his career to date he’s released three EPs, Once (2012), Weight of Your World (2014) and Land of the Living (2013), as well as two albums Little Giant (2014) and Paperweight (2016).

His music has been streamed over 160 million times on Spotify and his videos have amassed more than 13 million views. He’s been championed by the likes of Lauren Laverne (BBC 6 Music), Annie Mac and Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1), Zane Lowe (Beats 1), Jo Whiley (BBC Radio 2) and Dermot O’Leary (BBC Radio 2).
