West Yorkshire Playhouse has released the first images of Jill Halfpenny in rehearsals for The Girl on the Train, which will have its world premiere on 12th May in the Courtyard theatre.
Halfpenny takes on the lead role of Rachel Watson in the new stage adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ enthralling bestselling novel.
Adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and Duncan Abel, The Girl on the Train sees disillusioned commuter Rachel finding herself as a witness and suspect in a thrilling mystery, in which she will face bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.
Presented by West Yorkshire Playhouse in association with Simon Friend, this gripping new production is directed by Old Vic Associate Director Joe Murphy with the cast completed by Adam Best, Sarah Ovens, Florence Hall, Theo Ogundipe, Colin Tierney and Jonas Khan.
