There’s this whole lineage of performers who came out of the Opry, and I’ve had so much respect for it my whole life.”

With around 90 friends and family travelling up from Georgia to witness the moment, the night became more than just a professional achievement, it was a full-circle experience rooted in the people who have supported him from the very beginning. “To be able to stand in that circle with the people who came before me is just insane,” he added.
