The team split once again this week to tackle two difficult cases on The Good Doctor.
Shaun (Freddie Highmore), Claire (Antonia Thomas) and Alex (Will Yun Lee) worked with Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) to try and help a paralysed man walk again. Jared (Chuku Modu), Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann) and Andrews (Hill Harper) dealt with a patient who was at risk of dying from her extensive plastic surgery.
Melendez and his team successfully completed the operation on their patient but Andrews’ team lost theirs when complications hit in surgery.

Meanwhile Claire’s estranged mother turned up at the hospital in an attempt to reconnect but it turned out all she really wanted was money. Alex did a background check on Shaun’s neighbour Kenny (Chris D’Elia) and uncovered his criminal past.
The next episode of the season is Smile. Dr Shaun Murphy questions the need for an elective surgery that will allow his young patient to smile for the first time.
