Belfast’s The Rising are behind today’s EF Country Advent Calendar door with their Christmas single This Special Time Of Year.
Recorded in Belfast and Nashville, the festive song is inspired by the Phil Spector Christmas album A Christmas Gift For You. It recalls the band’s favourite things about Christmas time from falling snow and Santa to presents and much more.
2017 has been a year of ups and downs for the band. They’ve been busy finishing their upcoming album Moving On, following a successful Pledge Music campaign and guitarist Chris Logan sustained in a road traffic incident, which put him out of action for a while.
Moving On is due for release in early 2018 and the lead single Last First Love has been well-received.
