With anticipation building up nicely towards the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm and Disney have released a brand new featurette titled ‘Directing Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.

We see how director Rian Johnson is taking the characters of a galaxy far, far away into new directions in this behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Tickets to the highly anticipated cinematic event are on-sale everywhere after the most recent Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer almost broke the internet.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi follows on from the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the most successful film of all time in the UK.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in UK cinemas on 14 December 2017.

In Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past.

The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman. J.J. Abrams, Tom Karnowski and Jason McGatlin are the executive producers.

We haven’t had a Star Wars film since 2016’s Star Wars: Rogue One. Directed by Gareth Edwards, the movie starred Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk, Jimmy Smits, Donnie Yen, Wen Jiang, Ben Mendelsohn, Guy Henry, Forest Whitaker, Riz Ahmed and Mads Mikkelsen.

Next year Star Wars fans can look forward to Ron Howard’s Han Solo movie, cleverly titled Solo. You can see what has already been released for Solo in our Solo: A Star Wars story round-up.
