Britain’s Got Talent star Beau Dermott has signed a major label deal with Decca Records and will release her debut album Brave on 25th August 2017.
The 13-year-old, who wowed the judges and made it all the way to the finals, is being mentored by BGT judge Amanda Holden. Originally from Liverpool, Dermott has already insured her powerful voice for Ā£1 million.
Tom Lewis, Director of A&R at Decca, says: āBeauās voice is one in a million ā and thatās why it needs insuring! Having such an incredible talent at such a young age is truly remarkable, and weāre looking forward to working with Beau as she develops into a young star.ā
Beauās love of singing started very early when she saw a DVD of The Sound of Music. She says, āI watched it on repeat again and again. I just loved the sound of Julie Andrewsā voice, and Iād sit on the floor and sing along. And I soon discovered I loved to sing for my own enjoyment.ā
Brave features cover versions of popular musical theatre songs such as Defying Gravity from Wicked, which she sung during BGT, Reflection from Disney’s Mulan and When You Wish Upon a Star from Pinocchio.
