Spotify introduces Group Playlists for Messenger

Spotify has introduced Group Playlists for Messenger, which has been billed as ‘a seamless new way to build playlists with friends’.

Group Playlists for Messenger allows users to create new Spotify playlists with friends and immediately begin collaborating to build their perfect mix. The new feature is ideal for parties, road trips or simply collecting new favourites.

The new features allows users to collaborate and share music more easily than ever before.

Within the Messenger app, users can create a Group Playlist, share it with their friends and add songs to it using the Spotify Chat Extension.

Once a friend has created a Group Playlist, other people in the conversation can add more more songs directly through the Spotify Chat Extension, available by tapping the blue ā€œ+ā€ icon next to the composer ā€” even if theyā€™re not on Spotify.
