A trailer has arrived for Goodbye Christopher Robin, which tells the story of the relationship between beloved children’s author A.A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh.

The film stars Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Macdonald, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Alex Lawther and Will Tilston as young Christopher Robin.

Goodbye Christopher Robin gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh.

Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family?

Additional cast includes Stephen Campbell Moore, Alex Lawther, Richard McCabe, Nico Mirallegro, Geraldine Somerville and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The film is directed by Simon Curtis from a script written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Simon Vaughan. Damian Jones produced with Steve Christian, and Curtis and Vaughan also served as executive producers.

The film is released in UK cinemas on 29th September 2017.
