Opening up the main stage at this year’s C2C: Country to Country is Jennifer Nettles, who rose to fame as one half of the chart-topping duo Sugarland.

Having been active in the music industry since 1996, Jennifer released her debut solo album That Girl in January 2014 following Sugarland’s hiatus in 2012 and the birth of Jennifer’s son Magnus. That Girl hit number one on the US Country Chart and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200. To date the record has sold in excess of 200,000 copies in the US.

2016 was a very busy year for Jennifer with the release of not one but two albums. First up was her second solo album Playing With Fire followed by her first Christmas collection To Celebrate Christmas. Playing With Fire spawned the hit single Unlove You, a song Jennifer wrote with singer-songwriter Brandy Clark.

Jennifer’s current single is Hey Heartbreak, the second to be taken from Playing With Fire. It was written by Sara Haze, Shane McAnally and Jimmy Robbins and is one of the highlights from the record.

Fans were surprised when Jennifer announced that she’d recorded a duet with another famous Jennifer – Jennifer Lopez – for Playing With Fire. My House, which closes out the album, marries the different sounds and influences of the two stars to create a unique song that you wouldn’t have expected from either of them.

Jennifer’s appearance at C2C follows that of Kristian Bush, the other half of Sugarland, who performed at the festival back in 2013.

C2C: Country to Country takes place at The O2 Arena in London from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th March 2017. For more information head over to
