C2C: Country to Country 2017 – Cam profile

C2C: Country to Country returns on Friday 10th March 2017 and for the second year running the festival will take place over 3 days.

With a packed line-up featuring some of the biggest and best Country music stars from the US, C2C promises to deliver its best year yet. Kicking things off the first day is rising star Cam, who will be performing on the Yamaha Music Stage (although to be honest she more than deserves a spot on the main stage!).

Cam aka Camaron Marvel Ochs, hails from sunny California and she found success as a songwriter penning tracks for artists including Maggie Rose and Miley Cyrus. Her debut album Heartforward was released independently under the name Camaron Ochs in 2010.

It wasn’t until the release of Burning House, after signing a deal with Arista Nashville, that Cam experienced a breakthrough. The track was taken from Cam’s EP Welcome to Cam Country and it was also the lead single from her major label debut Untamed. Burning House gathered momentum and it peaked at number 2 on the US Country Airplay and US Hot Country Songs charts, and it climbed to 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has sold over 1.1 million copies to date!

Untamed got off to a strong start when it was released in December 2015 too, also reaching number 2 on the US Country Chart and number 12 on the Billboard 200. The album’s second single Mayday hasn’t yet matched the success of Burning House but it has picked up considerable airplay since its release.

Over her career to date Cam has picked up nominations for the Grammys, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the American Music Awards and the CMA Awards.

C2C: Country to Country takes place at The O2 Arena in London from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th March 2017. For more information head over to www.c2c-countrytocountry.com.
