DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 2×12 Camelot/3000 preview

The Legends faced off against their former captain Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) on the latest episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Traveling to Christmas Eve in 1776, the Legends had to protect George Washington (Randall Batinkoff). Sara (Caity Lotz) was shot by Rip as she and Mick (Dominic Purcell) tried to escort Washington to safety. Sara was left for dead and Washington and Mick were taken prisoner.

Rip activated a device that stripped the Legends of their powers and grounded the Waverider. He then forced his way on board to find part of the Spear of Destiny. Jax (Franz Drameh) kept Rip distracted while Stein (Victor Garber) tried to keep Sara alive.

Ray (Brandon Routh) was stuck in miniaturised form and focused on trying to restore the power to the Waverider. Jax gave in and told Rip where to find the Spear of Destiny fragment and Rip responded by killing Sara. Gideon (Amy Pemberton) managed to bring Sara back to life when Ray managed to get the Waverider’s power back on.

Not realising Sara was OK, Jax went after Rip to kill him but Sara pursued him and talked him down.

Meanwhile Nate (Nick Zano) and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) were ambushed as they went after Washington and Mick. Amaya saved Nate after he fell into freezing water and prevented him from dying of hypothermia. The two Legends also gave in to their lust and slept together, but afterwards Amaya reiterated that she didn’t think they should become a couple.

Mick and Washington formed an unlikely bond and were saved by Nate and Amaya shortly before Washington was due to be hanged. Mick was given a letter by Washington with a battle strategy for the soldiers detailed on it.

The next episode of the season is Camelot/3000. The Legends continue their quest to find the Spear of Destiny before the Legion of Doom get their hands on the pieces. Their first stop is the future, after which they travel to Camelot and find Stargirl guarding a piece of the Spear.
