Deacon (Charles Esten) started to spiral following the death of his sister on the latest episode of Nashville.

Still angry with Scarlett (Clare Bowen) for deciding to turn off her life support, Deacon went to an AA meeting to try and stop himself from slipping back to his old ways. As he struggled with the guilt, he directed all of his anger at his niece and left his AA meeting.

Meanwhile Rayna (Connie Britton) started working with Markus Keen (Riley Smith) and introduced him to Avery (Jonathan Jackson) as a potential producer for his Country album. Proving to be quite the handful already, Markus ruined Layla’s (Aubrey Peeples) Opry debut by interrupting Rayna and announcing his signing to Highway 65.

Elsewhere Avery couldn’t get hold of Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) when their daughter was rushed to the hospital, and Juliette became jealous of Avery’s relationship with Emily (Kourtney Hansen) after the two were photographed by a magazine.

The next episode of the season is Stop The World (And Let Me Off). Rayna has her hands full when her label’s artists all demand her time. Maddie joins Colt on Luke’s Tour.
