Dierks Bentley scores 15th career number one

Dierks Bentley’s success story continues as his latest single Different For Girls featuring Elle King has soared to number 1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts this week.

Hailed as a standout track from his latest album Black, Different For Girls has been nominated at this year’s CMA Awards and passed GOLD certification by the RIAA. It’s the second consecutive number one hit from Black.

ā€œThis is one of those ā€˜once-in-a-careerā€™ songs, and Iā€™m so glad we decided to take a risk and release it as a single,ā€ said Bentley. ā€œI wish I had documented the life of this song from when I heard the demo for the first time, to calling up Elle and flying to Austin to record with her, to seeing it grow and become a giant part of our live show. Being part of Elleā€™s first No. One country song is a really cool thing too. She ā€˜celebratesā€™ every day, but this actually gives us a real excuse to have some cocktails and toast all the people who helped give this song such an incredible life – from the songwriters to Country radio to the fans!”

Dierks picked up four CMA nominations ahead of this year’s awards – Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of The Year, Vocal Event of the Year and Video of the Year – and he recently extended his Somewhere On A Beach Tour through the end of October.
