Following last year’s success, Embankment Summer Market is returning at Victoria Embankment Garden’s from Friday 15th July to Sunday 17th July 2016.
Last year the Embankment Summer Market attracted over 15,000 visitors, who came to visit the three-day event, created by City Showcase: Markets.
City Showcase will also curate live music on the outdoor stage, which will include over 50 acts covering various music genres and will include BBC radio and BBC introducing supported artists, Huw Stevens supported singer songwriter, Corey Fox-Fardell, Ashleigh Ashley, Nick Aslam, Hattie Briggs, Charlene, Roxanne De Bastion, Oh!Kay, Kalty Rae and Luciee Marie Closier. Plus emerging acts such as Linah, Morrissey & Marshall, The SUmmertides, Dan Raza, Katie Kittermaster, Infecta, Cloudy Galvez, Kate Thomas, Echotape, Jarell, Mullally, Van Susans, Kyle & Nat, Pryme Kingz, Ab and the Underclass, Maud Waret, The Roscoes, Veludo Planes, Joe Jury, Bethan and the Morgans, Selena Seballo, Canvas Wall, the Caldicot School Choir and band, student concert bands New England/Nevada Ambassadors of Music and more.
It wouldn’t be a market without food and this year’s delicatessen will come from Backstreet Diner (a food truck form chef Ben Lindsay), The Urban German (traditional crispy chicken and fried pork), Newdlez Pad Thai, Arancina (Italian food and pizza), Shredded Meat (American BBQ) just to name a few.
