Andrew Combs says UK audiences are ‘more respectful’

Andrew Combs is opening the main stage for Day 3, the final day, of C2C: Country to Country. Prior to his performance, Combs sat down with the press to talk about this year’s festival and his music.

When asked how he finds UK audiences, Combs candidly revealed, ‘Itā€™s better really (laughs). The audience in terms of live shows is much more respectful. They tend to get what Iā€™m doing. It would be hard for me to do this bill in the US as Iā€™m not on Country radio.’

He admitted to being surprised to be part of the C2C bill this year after being championed by Eric Church. ā€˜Iā€™m grateful for it. It was just as much a surprise for me as it was you guys that Iā€™m part of this bill.ā€™

Combs has been on the road with Church in Europe. ā€˜We just toured around Europe prior to C2C and weā€™ve had a great time.ā€™

Kacey Musgraves, who is playing the main stage later today, has a personal connection to Combs. ‘Sheā€™s actually my neighbour. Sheā€™s been a champion of my music since my record came out. Weā€™ve been doing some dates with her.’

Andrew Combs opens the main stage for Day 3 of C2C: Country to Country at 4.35pm today.
