Carrie Underwood will be headlining C2C: Country to Country for the second time when she takes to the main stage later. The former American Idol winner, who is currently on her Storyteller tour, sat down with press to talk about her music and her career.
Talking about the impact that C2C has had in the UK since her first performance Carrie said, āIt feels wonderful. I think thereās a group of us that are really making an effort to meet our fans in other places. If the end result is more people being lovers of Country music thatās wonderful.ā
Asked about the sound of her latest album Storyteller, Carrie explained, āWhenever you start making an album itās a blank piece of paper. I started writing and waited for that sound to hit me.’
Would she ever consider making an acoustic record? āI think that would be really cool. It all depends on what Iām into at the moment. Iām always exploring different sounds and types of music.ā
Known for mixing things up on stage Carrie revealed, ‘I definitely like things that are unexpected and make people think ‘oh this is different’ but it was fun for me to do something different.’
