Craig David and Big Narstie have released the music video for their new single When the Bassline Drops.
After slowly climbing it’s way up the chart, When the Bassline Drops is set to be Craig’s biggest chart hit in almost a decade. The video sees Craig performing the track as he’s walking through the streets and a council estate before he arrives at a party where he connects with Big Narstie.
When the Bassline Drops is a return to form for Craig and sees the singer revisiting his roots. The song is a modern take on his signature Garage sound and looks set to kickstart a Garage revival in 2016.
Craig says, “I am back in that 16 year old kid mode, hungry, passionate and making music that I would want to bump in my ride and dance to.”
The collaboration came about when Craig and Big Narstie first met at the Kurupt FM takeover that saw Craig’s performance go viral.
Over his career to date Craig has sold over 13 million albums and scored 13 Top 10 hits.
