Saturday night was a big night for the four remaining contestants, Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray, Ché Chesterman and Reggie n Bollie as they sang in order to secure a place in the final next weekend. The semi-final live show was great and I loved most of it but some performances really did stand out for me and here is my top three.
3. Reggie N Bollie – I Gotta Feeling / I Like To Move It
Oh my word, Reggie N Bollie might not be the best singers left in the competition but their live performances are simply great. Last night they completely blew me away with their second performance and the songs worked perfectly for the boys style. I also thought that they had made an effort and tried different things, which showed that they are quite versatile as a group. Out of all the contestants, Reggie N Bollie are also always the ones showing the most gratitude for still being in the competition and somehow this makes them more genuine and lovable.
2. Lauren Murray – Take Me Home
Last night was Lauren’s night! Every performance was strong and every note was hit just perfectly. Jess Glynne’s song was a great match for the singer and even though some of the judges thought the performance was a bit rushed I thought none of that and was completely mesmerised.
1. Lauren Murray – Runnin’
Lauren’s second performance was in our opinion the best of the night. Lauren proved yet again that she can sing anything and shape her performances to match the emotion she is trying to pass across. I thought she was the best contestant of the night her song choices were suited perfectly for her vocals and style. The judges agreed that Lauren was on top form and said that they loved her.
The X Factor results are on tonight on ITV.
