The X Factor 2015 Week 2 recap

We are back and so is The X Factor for a brand new season full of great music and fresh acts. This year Simon Cowell, Cheryl, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw are the judges to UK’s next best thing and EF was watching and here are our thoughts.

The second episode of these series was very intense, there was laughter there was emotion and there was also shock! We most certainly enjoyed the entertainment. We loved some Olly Murs’ doppelganger, which was pretty good singing his rendition of Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk. We also were smitten with the girl band Alien who were full of girl power and spice! The 6 girl group were great on stage and definitely someone to look forward to in the future weeks. All four judges were swayed!

Geordie native Zen seduced the ladies on the judges panel and even Nick Grimshaw however Simon was quite grumpy about the whole audition. After this Simon started being quite grumpy about almost every act performing. Of course this made all the contestants very nervous!

Simon from the Island Man though managed to completely win over the judges with his stunning voice and beautiful rendition of Beyonce’s If I was a Boy. Simon Cowell thought it was fantastic and saw real potential, Rita Ora loved the tone of his voice and Cheryl loved the unpredictability.

Shianne Phillips took on the stage and was brave enough to sing a Whitney Houston song, unfortunately her bravery didn’t pay off and the judges didn’t put her through. Next up was Stephanie McCourt, who sang her own version of Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off, which we loved but Simon wanted more and requested a second song, Summertime which then completely blew him away. Of course Stephanie went through.

Of course The X Factor always saves the best for last and it did indeed with some stunning vocals from Bupsi singing the Beetles. It was only when Bupsi brought the blues that everyone was seriously listening and we were won over. Bupsi was naughty, tough and sexy all the way and Simon couldn’t resist.

The X Factor will be back tomorrow night at 7.45pm.
