Mike Posner strips before jumping into the sea in the music video for his new single Be As You Are.
The lead single from his new EP The Truth, Be As You Are is a song about embracing your individuality and accepting who you are. In the music video Mike is joined by several people who rip up signs with negative words on them before stripping off and heading into the see. Mike joins the group in the video’s closing seconds ripping up a sign with the word ‘Afraid’ on it before taking his clothes off and joining the group in the sea.
The Truth, which was released this week, is a four song EP that features I Took a Pill in Ibiza, Not That Simple and Buried in Detroit.
“It’s just about being honest,” Mike confessed to Billboard.com of his new material, the first new songs in four years that he has approved for release. “I listen to a lot of stuff that’s out there, some of which I wrote, and I’m like, ‘Where is that? Where’s the honesty?’ So that’s what I want to get to in my music now.”
