Shayne Ward to release new single The Way You Were

The singer will release his new single in June.

Shayne Ward will release new single The Way You Were on 22nd June 2015 it has been confirmed.

The track is the second to be lifted from his fourth studio album Closer and has been highlighted as one of the standouts from it. The Way You Were is is co-written by Shayne Ward and produced by Mike Stock.

Shayne Ward says, “With ‘The Way You Were’, we wanted to do a straight-to-the-heart dance pop record with meaningful lyrics that people can relate to. It’s about reminiscing on simpler times in a relationship and this longing to go back to basics.”

The Way You Were will be available in two digital bundles. One bundle comes with remixes by 7th Heaven and Love to Infinity. The second bundle features a Love To Infinity remix and a stripped-back version of Shayne’s debut single That’s My Goal.

It was recently announced that Shayne has joined the cast of Coronation Street and he will make his debut on the show this August.
