Mariah Carey has returned to Sony Music and signed a deal with Epic Records.

Billboard magazine confirmed the news today following rumours that Mariah would be reuniting at her former label home with Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid. The new multi-album deal is expected to begin with a greatest hits set to coincide with the singer’s Las Vegas residency.

It is believed that the greatest hits set, which has not been officially confirmed yet, will feature updated versions and duets of her classic songs. For her Vegas show Mariah will perform all 18 of her Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers.

Mariah had been signed to Island Def Jam since 2003 and released her latest album Me…I Am Mariah in 2014. Despite critical acclaim the album under-performed commercially.
