It's become an annual tradition and this year Mariah Carey hasn't disappointed her fans.
Today, Carey has released her “It's Time” video, which is the official kick-off for the festive season. All Lambs know that Carey won't acknowledge the Christmas season until 1st November – although this year she has already started performing ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You' before that date!
In this year's video, Carey finds that her naughty Christmas elf (Billy Eichner) has stolen her Sephora beauty essentials and he tells her that the elves are going on strike. Not one to be gotten the better of, Carey declares ‘It's Time', turning the elf into a snowman. The icon is then seen flying in a sleigh with reindeers, wearing a sparkly festive outfit while singing her classic hit ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
You can see the full video at the top of this article. As well as kicking off the Christmas season, Carey has also launched her new Christmas Amazon shop featuring lots of goodies including an inflatable outside display, festive spatulas and a musical snow globe.
On 28th November, Carey will kick off her ‘Las Vegas ‘Christmastime in Las Vegas' residency, which runs until 13th December 2024. This Christmas could also see Carey add another achievement to her incredible list as she's on course to be the first artist in Billboard history to achieve 100 weeks at number one, if ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You' returns to the summit for 3 weeks (she's currently on 97 weeks at number one).
