The Blacklist returns to UK screens this week following its winter break.
When we last saw Red (James Spader) he shot and killed Berlin (Peter Stormare) after the two shared a bottle of vodka. Red also helped Tom (Ryan Eggold) disappear and warned him to stay away from Liz (Megan Boone). We found out that the two had professional connections but Tom promised to keep that a secret from Liz.
Elsewhere in the episode the team hunted for The Decembrist, who was responsible for facilitating Zoe’s (Scottie Thompson) disappearance during the 1991 Kursk bombing. Their hunt led them to Alan Fitch (Alan Alda) who was kidnapped by Berlin.
The next episode of the season is Luther Braxton. The task force tries to save Red when he’s arrested and taken to a secret detention facility. At the facility, Red tangles with a thief with whom he shared a complicated history.
