Frankie Bridge pulls out of Strictly Live tour

The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge has pulled out of the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Live tour after finding out she is pregnant with her second child.

The singer has been advised by her doctor not to partake in the tour after it was discovered that she has a condition called Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which can effect the early months of pregnancy. Frankie was set to reunite with her pro partner Kevin Clifton for the tour.

In a statement Frankie said, ā€œWayne and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting our second baby. It is very early days, but we couldnā€™t be happier and Parker will make a wonderful big brother. Although this is such an incredible time for us as a family, due to health reasons I am sadly unable to go on the Strictly tour as planned. Iā€™m devastated that Iā€™m missing out, as I loved Strictly so much and was so looking forward to joining everyone again in all those fabulous arenas. Thanks for the warm messages Iā€™ve already received, they are really appreciated.ā€

A spokesperson for Stage Entertainment and Phil McIntyre Entertainments, producers of the Strictly tour, said: ā€œWe completely respect Frankieā€™s decision, a safe pregnancy is the priority. On behalf of the whole cast and crew, we send Frankie our love and very best wishes ā€“ we will miss her.ā€

A new celebrity is expected to be announced today to take her place. The rest of the tour line-up remains the same with Mark Wright still billed to appear despite suffering injury earlier in the week.

The Strictly tour opens with the first of 31 performances at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham on Friday 16 January.
