The much-anticipated new DVD from US comic Jeff Dunham – All Over The Map is released on 15th December. Recorded live on stage, All Over The Map, brings you material that is tried and tested on a global audience to stellar reviews and proves that Jeff’s humour is truly universal.
The DVD was filmed all over the world including the UK taking in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow and Dublin, as well as Ireland, Iceland, Norway, UAE, Israel, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and the USA.
Jeff Dunham, has been on the road again with his cast of characters, on an unprecedented sell-out tour across 5 continents, playing in arenas around the world where comedians have never before dared to perform. Dunham had to be careful while traveling the globe, especially during appearances in Singapore or United Arab Emirates, where if he told the wrong joke, he risked being handcuffed before even leaving the stage. While in Malaysia, Dunham was especially warned about incorporating Achmed the Dead Terrorist after their government forbid the infamous character’s presence. How in the world could Jeff do a show without the world’s most beloved terrorist?
Following his world tour, Dunham returned to the U.S. and announced yet another first: after 28 years on the road touring, he will hold residency in Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the aptly titled Jeff Dunham: Not Playing with a Full Deck. Celebrating its launch on Nov. 28 with performances running through May 2015, Dunham will perform six shows each week (Wednesday – Sunday) with two show-times each Saturday and Sunday, produced by AEG Live and Tate Entertainment Group, Inc.
Time Magazine called Dunham “the most popular comedian in the United States,” and Forbes has him on its Celebrity 100 list of most powerful entertainers three years running, but this international star’s interest in ventriloquism began at the young age of just eight years old. He began performing for crowds at the age of ten, and after graduating from Baylor University, Dunham moved to Los Angeles and became one of the world’s most sensational comedians on the national comedy club circuit. Dunham has frequented both The Tonight Show and Late Show with David Letterman.
Jeff Dunham’s television specials remain among the highest-rated hours in Comedy Central history and his two-hour biography; Jeff Dunham: Birth of a Dummy was the highest-rated special of all time on the Biography Channel. He has sold over 7 million DVDs, and his digital content has received nearly 1 billion views. Pollstar named him the top-grossing live comedy act in the world in 2009 and 2010. He continues to perform for sold-out stadium-sized shows worldwide. In the UK alone, Jeff has sold over 75,000 tickets and according to AEG, Jeff had the highest per head of any comedy act at the London O2 arena. Earlier this year Jeff also lent his voice to the feature animated film Nut Job alongside Liam Neeson & Brendan Fraser.
Jeff’s characters include; Achmed The Dead Terrorist, arguably the original and first to be embraced by audiences a boggle-eyed skeleton who has literally set the world on fire. Peanut the whimsical, high-on-life, endearing and loveable show-stealer, Jose Jalapeno, the laid back chilli pepper on-a-stick, Walter the old curmudgeon who can get away with saying just about anything he likes, Little Jeff, Peanut’s own mini character, a mean, funny little guy, and finally Bubba J… the redneck, white trash boy from the South.
As an entertainer, Jeff Dunham has truly impacted popular culture, and his character catchphrases, such as Achmed’s “Silence! I Keel You!” and José Jalapeño’s “On A Steek!’, are now part of our vernacular, much to the delight of multi-generational audiences worldwide.
