In the wake of a tragic loss, Jimmy sinks into a drunken despair.

This week’s American Horror Story: Freak Show feature not one but two major character deaths leaving us pretty shocked.

First up was Ethel (Kathy Bates) who confronted Elsa (Jessica Lange) about her scheming and manipulative ways after the disappearance of Ma Petite (Jyoti Amge). She ended up with a knife in her face and Elsa joined forces with Stanley (Denis O’Hare) to make it look like the death was a suicide.

The second death was Gloria Mott (Frances Conroy) who was shot in the head by her son Dandy (Finn Wittrock) after she failed to kill Regina (Gabourey Sidibe), who had come looking for her mother, and tried to trick him into therapy. We definitely didn’t see that one coming!

Elsewhere Penny (Grace Gummer) joined forces with the freaks to get revenge on her father (Lee Tergesen) by tarring and feathering him before Maggie (Emma Roberts) stepped in and prevented her from killing him. Jimmy (Evan Peters) spiralled into an alcohol induced state following the death of his mother.

The next episode of the season is Tupperware Party Massacre. In the wake of a tragic loss, Jimmy sinks into a drunken despair. A reading from Maggie spurs Dandy to action. Stanley and Elsa track down the Twins.
